Gonna come right out and say it - I'm a little shocked I've been quiet these past six weeks or so. Most of my blogging activity has switched to kayaking, which I am building a separate identity on. This summer in particular I've been doing that along - with my own boat, I've made solo trips, and volunteer with two different clubs now, so I've been busy on the water. Off the water - on land, as it were - things are less rosy. My employer is going through some significant, large-scale changes, and it's only about six weeks ago that I learned for certain what my employment situation would be. That was followed by two or three weeks of meetings and readings and memo-writing and similar administrivia. The short version is, I'm giving my current job over to an outsourcing company before taking on a new, mostly-undefined role in the education half of my employer. So that's all for now.
