In the past sixteen months I've ben somewhat close to three deaths, and I am only now starting to make sense of them. Perhaps it's more apt to say I'm only now comparing them. It's hard not to, since between the three of them there are three different ways of dying: murder, suicide, and natural causes, at least, as natural as can be had in the modern era.
It's enough to make one morbid, to begin thinking of life, death, the scale of it all. It's over in the blink of an eye; our passing on the earth is but a blink in the long run of time; what's the point of it all if it ends?
To which, the credited response ought to be that we do our best within our given time.
