Cross-Checking My Wish List
Some things I've noticed with the Amazon wish list.
1) if someone buys you a gift, it still shows up in your wish list. However, if you try to click on it, Amazon warns you that someone may have bought the gift for you.
2) Amazon's iPhone app simply doesn't display the item when you view your wish list.
So, fewer surprises, but better pre-holiday communications.
Someone's getting a certain orbital drop shock troop shooting game this Christmas . . .

Teeth
I seem to have healed well from my adventure - I now have a matching lack of molars on my lower jaw. At least I am symmetrical.
I did develop a tear in a metal cap though. My dentist had to drill it dow and add some silver. Power tools in my mouth, on a day for finals, no less.

Dental Adventure
Well I had an interesting day. Last night, I had a lot of swelling a pain in my lower right jaw. I thought I had just brushed too hard and gotten an infection, so I took some Tylenol and went to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night in lot of pain, so I left a message for my dentist, took another Tylenol and had some tea. When I woke up this morning, I felt a little better but still felt pretty bad.
Well, first my dentist tells me I'll probably need a root canal, while we're waiting for the xrays to develop. Then, he isn't sure which tooth is is, and then he isn't sure if it's a tooth abcess or a periodontal abcess - where it's just the gum. So he sends me to a root canal specialist, who later hands me over to his periodontal specialist, and right now the plan is to put me on antibiotics until the swelling goes down (which is happening) and then see if they need to remove the tooth. They're pretty sure that's a given because of other reasons.

So . . .three dentists, two prognoses, three possible outcomes.
