A Man I Worked For Was Cleaning the Table

Today I've come for training. The company providing the training is a company I used to work for. I think what's happened is that all but one of the original owners have sold their shares out and moved on, and the remaining owner changed locations to SoHo and turned what had been a service company into a training company.

So, it was an odd sight, to see the main who was my boss wiping down the table in the waiting room. Not bad, not really odd, just - Seven Years Later. Small business is small business.

It was also odd walking up the stairs, not quite aligned with the plane of gravity, let alone each other. After working in midtown a year, and a well-kept private school before then, I'd forgotten how cool it was to open a tiny little unmarked door to see a giant set of stairs leading up, each office a stop along the way, doors farther back the higher you climbed.
