Renewal

There is a new feeling in the air. Today was warm, not the first warm day of the year, but the first in a while. Also, the fountain in Washington Square Park is newly re-opened after being shuttered for 18 months. They moved it so that it aligns with the arch.

Walking through the park today, on the way to school, the water jetting up into the sunny near-summer day, I could only marvel at how long I've been here, how much my own life has changed, how many times I have stepped through that park in other guises and in poorer circumstances, and I can only smile at how many lives we can live within our time.
