The Cobbler's Children Have No Shoes

At work lately I've been creating and testing system builds. These are basically preconfigured installations of OS X for our Macintoshes - 10.3.9, 10.4.3, 10.4.10 and a development build of 10.5.2. Basically I install, update, then clean up these systems. I've done it practically all day long for two weeks straight now.

So, imagine my surprise when I have a problem playing some media files on my own laptop. I emailed the company I get them from, and they mentioned an issue with the new version of itunes. Typical Apple, I thought to myself. But then I realized the second part of their email applied to me - I hadn't updated to the latest Quicktime, and that seems to resolve the issue.
